Meredith Martin Wins Another Book Prize!

Meredith Martin and Gillian Weiss, The Sun King at Sea: Maritime Art and Galley Slavery in Louis XIV’s France (Los Angeles: Getty Publications, 2022) have won the Kenshur Prize for best book in Eighteenth-Century Studies.

Congratulations to Barry Flood, British Academy Fellow

We are thrilled to announce that Professor Barry Flood has been named a Fellow of the British Academy.

The DAH has been honored to have Professor Flood – William R. Kenan, Jr., Professor of the Humanities; Founder-Director of Silsila: Center for Material Histories, NYU – as a faculty member since 2001. Professor Flood joined the IFA faculty, as well, in 2007 and founded Silsila in 2017.
