23 Oct

krinsky2-1

On October 23rd, 2013, Professor Carol H. Krinsky will give a lecture about the architecture of the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Divine.  Her lecture, which will begin at 6:15 PM, will precede a concert of old English music presented by Musica Sacra.  The concert begins at 7:30 PM.   Although both lecture and concert are for Musica Sacra subscribers, there may be some seats available to students at the last minute.

Professor Krinsky will discuss the different medieval architecture styles that appear in the cathedral as well as the history of its construction.

The cathedral, one of the largest churches in the world, is located at 112th and Amsterdam Avenue.  Take the #1 train to 110th Street and walk two blocks north and one block east.
